Either relates to the:
- Sound-design of a specific sounds’ attack, or
- Mixing decisions, that structured the context to support individual sounds to be perceived as punchy
Results from a substantially perceivable release of amplitude at a fast rate
- Amount of amplitude * rate of change
  - This translation of Newton's laws of motion to music production is still lacking (Momentum = mass * velocity)
